Kentucky’s state and national parks provide scenic views you can’t find anywhere else

Tired of looking at your computer screen all day? You can shake things up by taking a trip into Kentucky to one of its state or national parks. There, you can find spectacular views you won’t find at home.
Cumberland Falls
Sometimes called the “Niagara of the South,” Cumberland Falls is a 60-foot-tall, 125-foot-wide waterfall located within Cumberland Falls State Resort Park in Corbin, Kentucky. While the waterfall is always a stunner during the day, it’s also worth seeing at night, particularly during a full moon. Cumberland Falls is one of the few places in world where you can regularly see a moonbow, also known as a lunar rainbow.
Cumberland Gap
The Cumberland Gap, a natural passageway in the Appalachian Mountains, gives visitors a view of three states at the same time—Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee. After taking in the view, families can enjoy the other amenities of Cumberland Gap National Historical Park in Middlesboro, Kentucky, such as Gap Cave, more than 70 miles of trails and the interactive historical exhibits in the park’s visitor center.
Sky Bridge
The Sky Bridge Trail in Daniel Boone National Forest is a .08 mile trail that offers spectacular views of Red River Gorge. The trail takes visitors over and under the natural bride and provides plenty of stops with scenic views. The paved trail is also dog and family friendly.
