Cincinnati Museum Center mixes science, history and play

The Cincinnati Museum Center presents the best of science, history and learning through play—all under one dome.
The museum is an award-winning, one-of-a-kind, multi-museum complex housed in Union Terminal, a grand Art Deco train station and National Historic Landmark. Cincinnati Museum Center includes the Cincinnati History Museum, Museum of Natural History & Science, The Children’s Museum and the Robert D. Lindner Family OMNIMAX Theater—an immersive domed theater experience. The museum is also home to the Cincinnati History Library and Archives, which houses more than 180 years of historic documents, maps, manuscripts and more.
Through three museums, you can learn through play, travel through more than 450 million years of prehistoric and regional history and explore historic, modern and future innovations through more than 20 permanent exhibits. Plus, watch physics and chemistry come to life in explosive science stage shows, create artwork to take with you in programming spaces and meet furry, scaly and creepy crawly animal friends.

Cincinnati Museum Center also manages the 20,000-acre Richard and Lucille Durrell Edge of Appalachia Preserve System in Adams County, in partnership with the Ohio Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. In addition to miles of trails, the Edge of Appalachia has active research and educational programming as a biodiverse region home to more than 100 rare plant and animal species.
