Columbus, Ohio, invites visitors to try its local spirits and cocktails with new distillery trail
By Corinne Minard
Those looking to try quality spirits and cocktails have a new location to add to their list—Columbus, Ohio. Earlier this month, Experience Columbus, the city’s convention and visitors’ bureau, announced the new Columbus Distillery Trail. The trail highlights seven of the city’s distilleries:
Echo Spirits Distilling Co., which aims to make high-end spirits accessible with help from its laid-back bar.
Endeavor Brewing & Spirits, where one can enjoy craft beers, vodka, rum and gin.
Watershed Distillery, Ohio’s first distillery that is connected to a bar.
451 Spirits, home to unique mixes like the Pizza Pie’Chuga, which is mezcal infused with pizza from local favorite Mikey’s Late Night Slice.
Nobel Cut Distillery, which is known for its vodka, whiskey and limoncello.
High Bank Distillery, where its Whiskey War Barrel Proof Blend recently received the Best of Class in American Blended Whiskey Award at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Those who would like to travel the trail can download the digital passport from Experience Columbus. Participants who buy anything from any four stops earn a free Simple Times mixer, and those that visit all seven distilleries will receive a “The Proof is in the Proof” Columbus Distillery Trail t-shirt.
